Rising 8th, 9th and 10th graders: Jump Start Your Summer With a Scientific Bang!

SSP is a residential summer camp for rising 8th, 9th and 10th graders from across the state and qualified applicants from out-of-state. Designed for talented young teens interested in scientific principles, enriching field trips and hands-on lab experiences, SSP sessions are taught by GSSM faculty along with college and university professors from state institutions such as the University of South Carolina, Claflin University, Newberry College and The Citadel.
Students choose from a variety of one-week learning sessions, in which they live on the GSSM campus and attend full-day classes.

The average SSP tuition for one week of camp per student is dependent on the course selected. SSP tuition is all-inclusive, covering such expenses as meals, lodging, class materials, related equipment and additional educational tools such as graphing calculators, computer programs and robots. Some need-based scholarships and financial aid are available.
